Technology requirements for Bachelor of Design

Students are required to have:

A desktop / laptop computer
13” Laptop 2560-by-1600 / 24” Desktop, 4480-by-2520 resolution
A mouse – Laptop users will still require a mouse. Apple mouse or quality equivalent recommended.
Broadband internet connection with 50GB+ data plan
A digital camera is required for DCO10004 Photography for Design. A point and shoot camera, also known as a compact digital camera, or a DSLR, an entry level model is sufficient
Adobe Creative Cloud subscription
- Download the Adobe Creative Cloud app on your device/s
- Log in with your Swinburne Online student ID

Also recommended:

Mac OS

Multicore Intel® processor with 64-bit support or M1 Apple Silicon processor
MacOS Sierra (version 10.12) and later | Big Sur 11.0 (Apple M1 silicon)
8 – 16GB RAM minimum
256GB of available hard-disk space (You may use an external hard-disk drive if you need additional space)

Note: The Creative Cloud desktop app won’t install on a volume that uses a case-sensitive file system.

Intel®, AMD or ARM processor with 64-bit support
Windows 10 (64-bit)
16GB RAM minimum
256GB of available hard-disk space (You may use an external hard-disk drive if you need additional space)
