Applying for a course is easy. Simply click ‘Apply Today’ and fill out the form. A Course Consultant will get in touch to guide you through your application from start to finish.

Enrolment

Enrolment is completed over the phone with one of our Course Consultants, who will walk you through the process, step by step. They will check your eligibility and answer any questions.

Welcome call

Once your enrolment is confirmed, you will receive a welcome call from our Student Success Team. They also will help you prepare for your first teaching period of study.

Online Campus

The Student Hub will function like an online university campus. With a single login you’ll have access to all the resources and support you need throughout your course, the same way you would on campus.

Tailored for online learning, the Student Hub is accessible whenever and wherever you like.

Online Classroom

If the Student Hub is your online campus, then Canvas is your online classroom. This is where all your classwork will take place, including your lectures and assignments.

Each unit you take will appear in Canvas, and will include all your recordings, readings, activities and assignments.

Student Advisors are available to assist you with a wide range of issues, including technical support, course management and essay writing tips. Available seven days a week, your Advisors are here to support your study journey from enrolment through to graduation.

Student Coaches are here to help you fit your studies around your life and foster your self-motivation, time management and stress management skills. You can easily book a phone appointment at any time to schedule in a chat.

Student Mentors

Student Mentors are experienced students who volunteer to help you transition into your course. Studying online is a unique experience, so they’re here to give you an insider’s knowledge so that you can begin your course with complete confidence.

Learning Groups

Learning groups are available for each of your units. Led by an experienced tutor, you’ll work with 25 to 30 classmates to review classwork, ask questions and start discussions about your unit.

Graduation

Your graduation ceremony is a time for you to celebrate your incredible achievements. As a Swinburne Online student, you will attend the same ceremony and receive the same distinguished degree as on-campus students. Bring your friends and family a raise a glass to your new degree.

Academic Dress

Your academic dress is a modification of everyday dress from the Middle Ages and the Renaissance. It consists of a gown and a scarf-like stole or hood and trencher caps or bonnets.

Attending your ceremony

Your graduation ceremony is held at the Melbourne Exhibition Centre. You will be welcomed to country, hear from guest speakers and be personally presented your award by the university Councillor.

Professional photography

Have the memories of your big day forever. Professional photography is available on the day of your graduation, including studio photography, stage photography, framing and plaques.
